Soane Britain is seeking an experienced, driven sales professional to represent the skills of our craftspeople and Soane’s mission-driven business in California through business development and sales activities.

Based remotely in or near LA, you will be joining a small but experienced North American team to build meaningful, curious relationships with our trade only clients, many of whom are AD100 names.

This is a wonderful opportunity to oversee the development of a growing market while learning about our skilled craftspeople and commitment to sustainable materials and design integrity. Confident in the potential for this market, the company has medium-term plans to open a curated space in LA to showcase our designs.

In return we offer a competitive base salary and commission, generous PTO and opportunities to travel to our New York showroom and British workshops.

Having built wonderful relationships with our Californian clients over more than 25 years, we are now seeking to invest in a LA-based sales professional to deepen our knowledge about their projects and offer in-person consultations and presentations.

Territory responsibility is:
California, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming

You will be solely responsible for growing sales of our furniture, lighting, fabrics and wallpapers as well as offering advice on commercial and bespoke projects.

You will be supported by the New York sampling team as well as colleagues in the UK who will manage your orders through our workshops and arrange shipping and logistics services.

Success will be measured through your reports on selling activity, from in-person meetings and networking through to identifying project opportunities, quoting and raising pro-forma invoices.

• At least 3 years in a business-to-business sales role, ideally in furniture, lighting, fabrics or wallpapers
• Great references which will speak to your sales success, teamwork and curiosity about our industry
• Driving licence and the ability to work from home in a productive environment. You will be expected to spend 2/3 days a week out with clients as well as some evenings for networking events.
• At interview you will be able to demonstrate sales success, high levels of self-motivation and a passion for good designs made with purpose and integrity, including sustainability considerations.
