- Promote Mayo Clinic's core values and support community‑based health care and integrated delivery systems through the sale of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests, aligning with the MCL sales process and the clients assigned to work with in collaborative selling.
- Generate new business revenue and co‑develop account and test selling and promotional strategies with clients.
- Project annual sales growth, market dynamics and economic conditions in collaboration with the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, Regional Managers and clients, and implement business plans for territory/accounts.
- Effectively sell and compel buying influences to move testing to Mayo and clients by differentiating from competing interests, coordinate resources, develop presentations and participate in the bid process for new and upsell opportunities.
- Identify specific tests or groups of tests that are differentiated in the market and pursue upsells to targeted clients, negotiate pricing, coordinate contract development and execution and monitor accurate lock‑in of prices.
- Field‑based sales position with occasional overnight required/expected.
- Bachelor's and three years’ experience in sales (preferably within the market segment and physician/client facing contact or negotiating contracts within a hospital or laboratory setting).
- Work from an office in the home located within the territory of support:
North Carolina/Virginia (relocation not offered).
This position is not eligible for sponsorship/we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F‑1 STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications- Bachelor's and three years’ experience in sales (preferably within the market segment and physician/client facing contact or negotiating contracts within a hospital or laboratory setting).
- Work from an office in the home located within the territory of support:
North Carolina/Virginia. - Master's in business, medical technology, or sciences preferred. Must have excellent human relations, management, and communications skills.
- Must be accountable, adaptable, flexible, creative, dependable, responsible, and able to perform well within multifunctional environments, and be customer focused.
- Ability to manage several projects or tasks simultaneously and exercise appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects. Decision‑making and problem‑solving ability, adherence to Mayo Clinic and MCS policies and procedures.
- Ability to function and work in a diverse work environment while selling MCS Services and providing direction to clients in a concise, sensitive, informative, and professional manner. Keep a positive and courteous tone, particularly in adversarial discussions. Keep abreast of regulatory issues, reimbursement issues, and service requirements.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required, along with the ability to travel extensively on major public transportation.
- FACHE certification preferred.
- Candidate must live within the listed territory (North Carolina/VA) to be considered for this position.
