As an independent insurance agency representing all major insurance carriers, we're dedicated to finding clients the most affordable and quality coverage to fit their needs.
Your role as an Administrative Assistant will be to provide services to members and prospects, answer questions about health plans and benefits, and act as a liaison between carriers and members.
With your excellent communication skills, you'll develop relationships with existing accounts and members, respond to inquiries, and communicate meeting outcomes, competitive information, and customer needs. No prior insurance experience is required, as we offer comprehensive training to ensure your success.
This is a long-term, W2 hourly position with opportunities for advancement and bonus money if you go above and beyond when needed. This is a hybrid role; you must live around Boise, / Treasure Valley area and have a private home office.
Responsibilities- All clerical skills required – answering phones, taking messages, etc.
- Talk with people all day; enjoy customer interaction (does not require being an extrovert).
- Answer client inquiries, provide general information on plans, and direct them to licensed agents for personalized consultations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service via phone, email, and online chat with a warm, personal approach.
- Manage client service requests such as , billing/payments, general inquiries, etc.
- Input data into CRM, maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, and verify and process client applications while ensuring compliance with Medicare and insurance regulations.
- Assist licensed agents by handling administrative tasks such as policy enrollments, policy processing, and client follow-ups.
- Do what’s needed to free up the agent's time to serve more clients and grow.
- Be willing to be coached, stay humble, and actively participate in team culture.
- Maintain home-office requirements and hybrid work expectations for Boise/Treasure Valley.
- No prior insurance experience is required; comprehensive training is provided.
- Candidate must have or be willing to obtain an insurance license.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Apple products, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and related software.
- Problem-solving abilities; HIPAA understanding is a plus.
- Private home office in the Boise, / Treasure Valley area (hybrid; relocation where required).
- Typing speed of 40 wpm (required).
- Background and drug test required.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Base pay $15 per hour to start; compensation includes potential commissions and bonuses; 15 - 20 hourly range stated.
- Flexible schedule; long-term employment with opportunities for advancement.
- Paid time off.
- Opportunity to obtain Idaho insurance license.
- Hybrid role with flexible work options; must reside in Treasure Valley / Boise, Idaho.
- Complete the assessment and questions from Wizehire.
- Complete two Zoom interviews and one in-person interview.
