Position: Sales Representative (Commission-Only, Remote)

OCB Accounting is a modern bookkeeping firm that helps small and mid‑sized businesses maintain accurate financial records, stay organized, and make informed decisions. Our services are strictly focused on monthly bookkeeping and financial support —we do not offer tax preparation.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated, results‑driven Sales Representative to close new bookkeeping clients using company‑provided leads and manage the sales process through Hub Spot CRM
. This is a 100% commission‑based, fully remote position with a strong emphasis on new client acquisition.

All client agreements are annual
, and commissions are earned during the first year only
, keeping the role focused on growth and onboarding new clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow up with company‑provided inbound and warm leads
  • Qualify prospects and assess bookkeeping needs
  • Present OCB Accounting’s bookkeeping services clearly and professionally
  • Close annual bookkeeping agreements
  • Accurately track all activity, notes, and deal stages in Hub Spot
  • Coordinate smooth client onboarding with the internal team
  • Meet or exceed monthly new‑client acquisition goals
Requirements
  • Sales or business development experience (professional services preferred)
  • Comfortable in a commission‑only compensation structure
  • Experience using Hub Spot or similar CRM platforms
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow‑up skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping or financial services is a plus (not required)

Commission Plan – Bookkeeping Sales Representative Overview

Sales Representatives earn commission on new annual bookkeeping agreements during the first 12 months only
. There are no residual or lifetime commissions beyond the first year

1. Onboarding / Setup Fees
  • 20% commission on any one‑time onboarding or setup fees
  • Paid after client payment is received

Example:

  • $1,000 onboarding fee → $200 commission
2. Monthly Bookkeeping Services (First Year Only)
  • 10% commission on monthly bookkeeping fees for the first 12 months
  • Paid monthly while the client is active during year one

Example:

  • Client pays $500/month
  • Rep earns $50/month
  • Over 12 months → $600 total
3. Upsells During First Year

If a rep upsells a client into higher‑tier bookkeeping during the first year:

  • 15% commission on the increased monthly amount (first year only)
4. Lead Source Policy
  • Company‑provided leads: Full commission
  • Self‑sourced leads (optional):
  • Additional +5% bonus on first‑year monthly commissions
5. First‑Year Earning Scenarios Conservative Performer
  • 3 new clients/month
  • Avg. $400/month bookkeeping
  • First‑year earnings per client: ~$480
  • Estimated annual earnings: $25,000–$35,000
Strong Performer
  • 6–8 new clients/month
  • Avg. $600/month bookkeeping
  • First‑year earnings per client: ~$720
  • Estimated annual earnings: $60,000–$90,000
Top Performer
  • 10+ new clients/month
  • Higher‑tier bookkeeping packages
  • Estimated annual earnings: $100,000+ (uncapped)
6. Commission Payments
  • Commissions paid monthly
  • Based on collected revenue only
  • Payments issued within 7–10 days after month‑end
  • Full transparency via CRM reporting
