Overview

Fayetteville, Lillington, Dunn, Benson, Angier, Wallace, Burgaw, Rose Hill, NC. Ideally, the candidate would live in Fayetteville or within a reasonable daily commuting distance and must be able to travel frequently within the territory. Relocation is not offered for this role.

Senior Specialty Representative – Live

What you will do

In this vital role you will be the connection to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the complex payer environment. The Senior Specialty Representative acts as the primary customer contact and is responsible for implementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products as led by the District Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
  • Lead territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, coordinating and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagements.
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative.
  • Demonstrate passion for our products throughout the entire sales cycle and maintain brand focus while serving patients.

Minimum and Additional Qualifications
  • Minimum Education Required — Bachelors
  • — Health/Medical other
  • Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative): Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of sales experience OR Associate degree with 6 years of sales experience OR High school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries. Some experience and/or pre-graduate sales training and/or proven leadership under pressure is preferred for Specialty Representative. 3+ years experience preferred for Senior Specialty Representative. Experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases;

    and related diseases and treatments. Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes. Local market knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Adaptability with core competencies:
