This is a remote position; candidates must be comfortable traveling to each of the store locations. The role requires driving a personal vehicle approximately 55 miles per day (mileage may vary) with no car allowance; mileage is reimbursed at 62 cents per mile.
A Part‑Time Territory Sales Associate (TSA) is ideal for a relationship‑oriented person looking to flex selling skills while representing Hershey’s most exciting brands. TSAs sell and insure best‑in‑class merchandising, build displays, increase distribution of top‑selling items, and replenish permanent secondary displays.
Work ScheduleThis position is considered “Continuous Part‑Time,” working 20‑25 hours per week. A TSA typically visits 6‑10+ accounts per day and works during the core hours of 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise required.
Hourly starting rate: $15.50 – $16.50 per hour (may vary by skill, experience, and geographic location).
MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Sell and maintain 100% distribution of all authorized Hershey items in the assigned territory.
- Ensure flawless retail execution of Headquarters Sales and Merchandising Plans (Retail Execution Plan) with various retailers.
- Achieve all merchandising objectives through the effective use of Permanent Secondary Displays and other display vehicles as established within the Retail Execution Plan.
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and all administrative functions within the assigned territory.
- Submit daily activity reports via tablet upon completion of each day.
- Manage the Sales Territory, which varies due to size, number of retailers, and location.
- Valid U.S. state‑issued driver’s license.
- Personal vehicle in good operating condition.
- Personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use.
- Residence or willingness to commute within the territory boundaries listed above.
- Ability to drive long distances for multiple daily sales calls.
- Capable of lifting 10–40 lbs regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Capable of bending, kneeling, stooping, and demonstrating manual dexterity frequently, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Proficiency with tablet technology.
- Daily wireless internet access.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage.
- Availability to work 20–25 hours per week.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred experience:
3–4 years in food merchandising (not required).
