Job DescriptionThe Sales Supervisor is responsible for ensuring company sales goals are met or exceeded and that designers deliver a high standard of customer service. The role collaborates with the Sales Manager to maintain process flow and align with company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions- Coach and mentor the Design Consultant team to achieve revenue goals and key performance indicators.
- Ensure direct reports deliver an exceptional customer experience at every touchpoint and follow company procedures.
- Manage underperformers using performance‑management guidelines and document results.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to complete mandatory training and ongoing development.
- Work with the Sales Manager to balance company leads and self‑generated leads for the Design Team.
- Develop self‑generated lead plans with Design Consultants.
- Manage day‑to‑day performance of all sales team members.
- Co‑manage sales contests and incentive programs and track results.
- Facilitate the monthly Sales Meeting and coordinate guest speakers.
- Analyze sales data and develop strategies to address opportunities.
- Monitor and enforce sales participation in local industry meetings and functions (BIA, Chamber of Commerce, ASID).
- High school diploma or GED; some college education preferred.
- Interior design education, direct industry experience, or passion for home décor.
- 5+ years of consultative selling experience in consumer environments, preferably high‑end furniture or luxury retail.
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
- Proven track record of leading a team to exceed sales quotas and metrics.
