District Manager (Los Angeles) – Vontier
Join Vontier as a District Manager in the Los Angeles area. This full‑time, salaried role offers robust earnings potential, autonomy, and extensive support from the Matco Tools franchise network.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a District Manager you will lead, coach, and grow a network of mobile automotive tool distributors (franchisee owners). Your daily focus includes:
- Providing coaching to 15+ mobile distributors on pre‑scheduled sales calls.
- Offering ongoing sales and business management coaching support to all distributors.
- Analyzing business data to guide performance, achieve sales goals, and improve operations.
- Surveying, recruiting, and qualifying franchisee prospects for open territories.
- Presenting, handling objections, and selling the Matco Tool Distribution Franchise.
- Communicating with corporate departments and acting as liaison between franchisees and the company.
- Completing formal business reviews, identifying cause and effect, and recommending actions.
- Using MS Office to track sales results and create franchisee presentations.
- Collaborating with Regional and District Sales Managers to achieve “Ride, Recruit, and Retain” goals.
The ideal candidate brings experience, skills, and a growth mindset:
- 5+ years of sales experience (field/route, automotive, franchise, or self‑employment preferred).
- High School Diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree desirable for advancement. - Ability to receive product at home for monthly Sales Meetings.
- Comfortable working from home with a company laptop.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance; ability to navigate territory.
- Travel up to 5 hours a day, with occasional overnight stays.
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and sales‑coaching skills.
- Highly disciplined, independent, entrepreneurial, confident, well‑organized self‑starter.
- Humble, tenacious, professional leader with uncompromising integrity.
- Basic MS Office knowledge; intermediate proficiency a plus.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Commitment to a full‑time schedule (40+ hours per week, as needed).
Base salary of $85,000 per annum, determined by experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Bonuses and incentives may apply.
