Position SummaryThe Business Development Manager is responsible for driving aggressive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding relationships within existing accounts. This role partners closely with branch and regional leadership to develop and execute strategic growth plans, build a strong sales pipeline, and expand Playmore’s market presence across Florida.
This position works collaboratively with Territory Project Managers and Sales Representatives to ensure alignment from opportunity development through project execution, delivering a seamless and high-quality client experience.
Work Schedule & Travel- Hybrid role with flexibility based on territory
- Eligible base locations:
Fort Myers, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, or Orlando - Statewide travel throughout Florida to meet clients, visit project sites, and attend industry events
- Monthly in-person check-ins at the Fort Myers home office
- Overnight travel may be required as business needs dictate
- Prospect, identify, and close new business opportunities across all Playmore markets and service lines
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to uncover client needs and deliver tailored recreational solutions
- Actively network with municipalities, school districts, developers, architects, and community stakeholders
- Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients to maximize revenue and identify upsell opportunities
- Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and long-term loyalty
- Maintain strong client engagement throughout the full project lifecycle
- Partner with branch and regional leadership to design and execute market-specific growth strategies
- Work closely with Territory Project Managers and Sales Representatives to coordinate pursuits, proposals, and project handoffs
- Collaborate with design, estimating, and operations teams to develop competitive, compelling proposals
- Maintain a dynamic, accurate sales pipeline aligned with company and regional goals
- Deliver professional presentations and proposals to clients and stakeholders
- Provide regular activity reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates
- Utilize CRM tools to track opportunities, client interactions, and performance
- Represent Playmore at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities
- Strengthen Playmore’s brand presence across Florida markets
- Proven success in business development, sales, and account management
- Strong hunter mentality with exceptional prospecting and closing skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Highly organized with strong time management and execution skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license and professional appearance
- Experience in construction, recreation, municipal sales, or project-based environments is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles

- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $130,000–$156,000
