Job Responsibilities
  • Duties will focus on IL, WI, and IA growth including new business development strategy, producer recruiting, development and support, deal sourcing and closing, cross‑sell and upsell execution, etc.
  • Coach, develop and enable the MWW Sales team to achieve personal income and revenue commitments
  • Recruit, hire, train/mentor new producers and manage sales managers
  • Promote interdepartmental resource sharing, identify cross‑sell opportunities and capitalize on association marketing
  • Identify sales initiatives and business development opportunities throughout the region
  • Manage the sales budget for the region
  • Establish a positive sales culture that maximizes each producer’s strengths and integrates IL, WI, and IA team members across sales, account service, underwriting, compliance, and consulting
  • Engage corporate resources to support sales and marketing
  • Strategize with Practice Leaders to retain business year‑over‑year
  • Develop internal resources/expert support for all producers in closing business
  • Conduct sales meetings
  • Implement all HUB sales best practices and initiatives
  • Attend HUB sales leadership meetings
  • Implement and execute the Critical Path Process with President, Carriers, and Practice Leaders
  • Ensure Producer Improvement Plans are in place where needed
  • Manage SRM activity, including utilization of pipeline reports
  • Represent HUB positively and proactively in meetings, seminars, trade shows, and networking events
  • Continuously develop products and services aligned with identified customer needs in market segments
  • Participate in sales management on a day‑to‑day basis, including remote office visits for staff development, plan execution, producer training, and joint prospect and client calls
  • Build and foster a client‑centric sales environment focused on new business development, retention, and relationship development
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of progressive, successful sales experience; majority within an agency, brokerage, or consulting firm
  • Hands‑on manager who enjoys mentoring and direct management of staff and working alongside producers to originate new business and close accounts in a team‑based sales environment
  • Instigates effective employee development procedures covering training, processes, E&O avoidance, continuing education, recruiting, hiring, and disciplinary actions
  • Proven progressive sales track record in driving new business results
  • Consultative, positive, and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients, and associates
  • Strong visibility within the served communities
  • Highly developed organization and time‑management skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Public speaking and presentation experience
  • Strong self‑motivation

    Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
  • Influential and persuasive with the ability to partner across HUB and work with segment and practice leaders
