Our client is a full-service regional Chemical Distributor, providing industrial chemicals and related services in the Midwest area for over 60 years. They serve a wide range of industrial customers providing products to paints and coatings, printing and printing inks, metal treatment, water treatment, electronics, recreation, agricultural and municipal industries. They are in need of an Outside Sales Representative to cover a region in the city of Chicago and southern suburbs.

This home office based position has very limited overnight travel but has tons of potential to grow. Interested candidates must already reside in the sales territory.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated with a hunter mentality; able to work independently as well as part of a team; enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with strong prospecting and negotiation skills.

• BS/BA degree - Chemistry/Science degree a plus but not required.
• 3+ years outside chemical/industrial sales experience with demonstrated background and track record of developing long-term relationships and growing a region. A significant portion of this position will be prospecting and cold-calling to potential customers in the industrial, flexible packaging, food, water treatment, paint and coatings, printing and metals markets.
• Looking for true entrepreneur spirit, professional, able to work autonomously as this is a home office based position.
• Experience working with CRM systems.
• Friendly, energetic personality, hard-working but enjoys having fun!
• Extreme attention to detail and follow-up.
• Ability to respond to customers within a few hours on most requests.
• A self-starter who can plan, execute, and prospect independently.

Competitive compensation program - base salary + lucrative monthly commissions + year end bonus + monthly car allowance.
