Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead new business development across the Western United States (AZ, CA, NV, OR, UT, WA, , MN, WY, AK, HI). The role is based in a major metro market close to a major airport, preferably in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zone, and requires extensive travel (up to 75%).
Salary: $115,000 - $125,000 plus commissions.

Job Summary
As a strategic, high‑integrity individual contributor, you will build strong relationships, direct the sales process, and drive profitable growth within the Chartwells Higher Education market. Reporting to the National Vice President of Sales, you will focus on the expansion of new client accounts and lead the sales organization’s growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Strong sales and related function skills including commitment to the Compass Sales Process.
• Effective communication in written and oral presentations.
• Multi‑tasking and priority setting across a broad territory.
• Exceed annual new business target/quota.
• Cold calling, prospecting, networking, and persistence to develop markets.
• Strong time management and territory development skills.
• Identify necessary support resources to successfully close new business.
• Proficiency with CRM, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• High energy, positive attitude, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
• BA or equivalent experience.
• Authentic new business hunter with a 12‑month complex sales focus.
• 5+ years of sales experience, preferably 80% or more new business.
• Consistently exceeding sales quotas and targets.
• Strong RFP response and proposal development skills.
• Logical thinker with common sense approach.
• High personal accountability, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
• Effective relationship building with diverse stakeholders.
• Motivated to earn well above $150,000.
