This is a remote position; candidates must be comfortable traveling to each of the store locations.
This position will require you to drive your personal vehicle approximately 55 miles per day in your assigned territory. Mileage may vary depending on your location. No car allowance is provided, however mileage for travel will be reimbursed at 62 cents per mile.
A Part‑Time Territory Sales Associate (TSA) is a great opportunity for a relationship‑oriented person to flex selling skills while representing Hershey’s iconic brands. TSAs sell and insure best‑in‑class merchandising to include building displays, increasing distribution of top‑selling items, and replenishing permanent secondary displays.
Work ScheduleThis position is considered "Continuous Part‑Time" and requires 20‑25 hours per week. On average, a TSA will visit between 6‑10+ accounts per day. Flexible schedules are provided to match personal needs, territory needs, and store availability of key decision‑makers. Your workday should overlap the core hours of 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday‑through‑Friday, unless otherwise required by business needs.
This position offers an hourly starting rate of $15.50‑$16.50 per hour. Rate may vary depending on skill, experience, and geographic location.
MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Sell and maintain 100% distribution of all "authorized" Hershey Items in assigned territory, ensuring flawless retail execution of Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans.
- Achieve all merchandising objectives through the effective use of Permanent Secondary Displays and other display vehicles established within the Retail Execution Plan.
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and all administrative functions within the assigned territory.
- Report daily activities through tablet submission upon completion of each day.
- Manage sales territory, which varies by size, number of retailers, and location.
- Must have a valid US state‑issued driver's license.
- Must have a personal vehicle in sound operating condition.
- Must maintain personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage and permit business use.
- Must reside or be willing to commute within the territory boundaries listed above.
- Must be able to drive long distances daily to make multiple sales calls.
- Must be able to lift 10‑40 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity often.
- Must be proficient with tablet technology.
- Must have daily access to wireless internet.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in territory coverage.
- Availability for 20‑25 hours per week.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. - Experience:
3‑4 years in food merchandising preferred but not required.
