About the RoleEssity is looking for an experienced Medical Sales Representative – Advanced Wound Care
. The role is responsible for managing and increasing the Essity Advanced Wound Care product portfolio sales within the assigned geographic territory. The portfolio includes clinically unique brands such as Hydrofera Blue, Cutimed – Sorbact, Sorbion, Epiona, Hypafix, and Jobst – Compri2 and Comprifore. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role is the primary driver of sales within a territory or strategic metropolitan areas, targeting multiple call points throughout the continuum of care with a primary focus on Acute Care, Surgical Areas, and Wound Care Centers, as well as managing and penetrating alternate sites of care.
This will be a remote position responsible for covering Kentucky territory. The ideal candidate should live in the Louisville, KY area with the ability to travel often.
What You Will Do- Meet or exceed sales targets driven by key account closes and competitive conversions across all areas of the healthcare market.
- Effectively communicate and utilize clinical and product knowledge clearly and concisely.
- Assess customer needs and develop solutions.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders within targeted accounts.
- Interact with advanced practice clinicians—including Surgeons, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, WOCN's, and Nurses—to shape product choice decisions.
- Implement contracts and penetrate key GPO and IDN awards.
- Maintain and increase penetration in existing accounts and healthcare systems.
- Coordinate opportunities internally and externally with customers.
- Plan territory and accounts, including pre‑ and post‑call planning and targeting.
- Complete all administrative duties accurately and timely.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least 3 years of outside sales experience required; outside sales experience in the Healthcare Industry preferred. Exposure to wound care and surgical markets a plus.
- Additional experience in Business to Business sales helpful.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently, competitive, tenacious, high integrity, fearless, strategic, passionate, and a team player.
- Overnight travel, work weekends, and into the evening may be applicable (approximately 25‑35% of time).
- Must be fluent in Microsoft programs;
Excel, PowerPoint, etc. - Experience with CRM recommended (i.e., , Dynamics).
