The successful candidate will develop, implement, and report on a regional sales strategy to achieve assigned revenue targets. This role is responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle, from prospect identification and pipeline development through negotiation and contract execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Achieve established sales, revenue, and utilization goals within the assigned territory.
  • Identify, qualify, manage, and grow client accounts across the full sales lifecycle.
  • Increase client awareness and understanding of the Company’s services, capabilities, and value proposition.
  • Partner with the proposal and business development teams to support RFPs and participate in sales calls and presentations.
  • Plan and execute effective sales calls, demonstrating strong time management to maximize client and prospect engagement.
  • Provide timely, responsive, and professional customer service to clients and prospects throughout the sales pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all sales and business development activities within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Complete required administrative responsibilities, including sales plans, account profiles, customer databases, and monthly expense reports.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to support sales efforts and client needs.
  • Attend and participate in industry-related trade shows, conferences, and professional meetings as required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive offerings.
  • Build and sustain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain consistent communication with sales leadership and relevant internal teams regarding pipeline activity and account status.
  • Represent the Company with professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct at all times.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including FDA and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and site-specific guidelines.
  • Remain current in professional knowledge and skills and contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to processes and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND

EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree required plus a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated successful business development experience selling contract manufacturing services in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

COMPETENCIES/

SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated success developing and expanding a client base and professional network within the contract pharmaceutical manufacturing market.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of sales or business development experience selling into the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries.
  • Prior experience in a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) or Clinical Trial Supply (CTS) environment strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the full sales lifecycle for contract services, from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and independently in a remote, home-office environment.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to support sales and business development activities.
  • Strong proficiency with email systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to balance prospecting and closing activities, with an expectation of dedicating approximately 50% of time to new business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage repetitive and detail-oriented tasks while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to successfully complete required regulatory, compliance, and job-related training.
