Overview
The National Account Manager-e-tailers is responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and brand presence across key eCommerce, digital partners, and managing our April Aire e-store. This role manages national e-tailer accounts online-first or omni-channel partners, serving as the primary point of contact and strategic business owner for each account.
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing pure-play eCommerce accounts, understands digital merchandising, online marketing levers, pricing dynamics, and fulfillment models, and can collaborate cross-functionally to accelerate April Aire’s performance in the dot-com channel.
Work location: The ideal candidate is located within 150 miles of Madison, WI. When not traveling, you will generally work from your home office with periodic visits to Madison WI for specific quarterly meetings.
Responsibilities- Own and manage relationships with assigned national e-tailer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted business partner.
- Develop and execute joint business plans (JBPs) with e-tailer partners focused on revenue growth, profitability, assortment expansion, and long-term strategic alignment.
- Manage April Aire e-store to drive profitable growth
- Drive sales performance through optimized digital merchandising, including product assortment, content, SEO/SEM alignment, conversion optimization, and on-site placement.
- Partner closely with Channel Marketing and eCommerce teams to plan and execute promotions, media programs, seasonal campaigns, and new product launches across e-tailer platforms.
- Lead pricing strategy execution, promotional planning, and margin management while maintaining brand integrity and competitive positioning across online channels.
- Manage demand forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment coordination to ensure strong in-stock performance and fulfillment execution.
- Analyze sales performance, traffic, conversion, and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks; translate insights into actionable growth initiatives.
- Monitor competitive activity within the eCommerce landscape, including pricing, assortment, content, and promotional tactics.
- Lead contract negotiations, annual agreements, and renewal discussions to ensure favorable commercial terms and sustainable partnerships.
- Represent the voice of the e-tailer customer internally, advocating for tools, processes, and resources needed to drive mutual success.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of account management, preferably with e-tailers, online marketplaces, or digital-first retailers.
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and managing high-volume eCommerce accounts.
- Proven record of achievement with a passion for winning and consistently exceeding sales and growth targets.
- Strong experience managing national eCommerce or e-tailer accounts, ideally within home improvement or consumer durable goods categories.
- Collaborative influencer with the ability to manage cross-functional partners without direct authority.
- Travel within the US about 20%
