Territory Manager - Medical Device Sales - Midwest

Infu System offers a range of therapies, including oncology, pain management, and wound care—specifically noteworthy for its Negative Pressure Wound Therapy. Its Durable Medical Equipment (DME) services comprise direct payer rentals, pump and consumable sales, and biomedical services and repair, encompassing both on‑site and depot maintenance. The company supplies a comprehensive portfolio of infusion pumps and related equipment, from IV pumps to chemotherapy and oncology infusion pumps, and provides biomedical maintenance for devices such as defibrillators and pulse oximeters.

Job Summary

As a Territory Manager, you will be part of a cross‑functional team that includes a Customer Care Coordinator, Account Manager, Case Management Nurse, Clinical Director, and Regional Vice President. Your primary focus will be recruiting new business—approximately 75% of your time—while the remaining 25% involves active account management. Success in this role relies on multitasking, effective communication with key decision makers, and strong customer relationship management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory plan that delivers growth and meets all sales quotas.
  • Conduct five business reviews per month with key and strategic accounts and prospects.
  • Foster and maintain good relationships with stakeholders at more than 150 hospitals and community cancer centers across IL, IA, MN, NE, and NW Indiana.
  • Ensure active customers submit accurate and timely patient information, collecting any outstanding data.
  • Manage the Infu System pump fleet placed with customers within the territory.
  • Collaborate with the Account Manager and Customer Care Coordinator to maximize service and revenue in new and existing accounts.
  • Provide consultative information to customers about equipment, based on technical knowledge of products and protocols.
  • Submit sales contracts and quotes for orders obtained.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports in accordance with company policy.
  • Complete all sales reports and required documents in a timely fashion.
  • Attend trade shows, sales meetings, and education seminars as needed.
  • Maintain reliable internet access and return customer messages the same day.
  • Complete accreditation and other examinations as required.
  • Update Hub Spot Sales CRM daily with new business prospecting efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience (1–2 years of related experience).
  • Preferred experience in oncology sales, medical device sales, health care sales, oncology nursing, or oncology pharmacy.
  • Primary residence within the defined territory (IL, IA, MN, NE, and NW Indiana).
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the territory: approximately 3–4 days per week on the road, 1–2 days in the home office, and 1–2 overnight trips per month.
  • Complete 15–20 site visits per week to active accounts, plus additional prospecting visits grouped into efficient routes to generate new business.
