Summary
:
The Account Manager II is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires day‑to‑day client servicing for a specific set of clients and involves verbal, electronic and written communications. The Account Manager II will manage an assigned book of business handling endorsements, binding policies, setting up financing, issuing certificates, billing, and responding to requests and questions.
This person will also be involved in the renewal and marketing process. Work is completed with a significant amount of independent discretion. While in this role, this person should be developing relationships with clients and carrier contacts and working proactively to efficiently respond to the needs of our insured. In addition to managing their own clients, may also continue to support the Account Management Team as assigned.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Proactively develop relationships with carrier and client contacts; may take an active role in meetings.
- Bind and endorse policies, issue certificates, bill invoices and request payments, and maintain regular verbal and electronic contact with all assigned clients.
- Communicate directly with clients and carriers to obtain accurate information to market renewals; prepare and send renewal quotations to applicable carriers and propose coverage to insured.
- Assist customers with reporting and follow‑up for claims.
- Quote policy changes, set up financing, collect additional premium and down payments, ensure carrier payments are received.
- Update and maintain client policy records in the agency management system.
- Answer incoming calls and emails, responding to client questions as needed.
- Follow up on suspense items and outstanding information.
- Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑confident to make sound independent decisions.
- Ability to interact with a variety of people and function well both in a team environment and autonomously.
- Handle situations calmly, courteously, and professionally.
- Customer‑focused to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Sharp attention to detail, decision‑making skills, and problem resolution.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines, and technology.
- Prior client service and/or industry and product line experience.
- P&C Insurance License required.

Base salary range: $47,000 to $86,000, determined by experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level, scope, and geographic location. Eligible for performance‑based incentives.
