Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr.
Responsibilities- Conduct consultative sales calls, demonstrating Sage Vantage, my Business
Course, and related products to higher education faculty. - Position yourself and Sage as a strategic partner to social‑science departments and business schools across campus.
- Travel to assigned campuses during sales seasons, including overnight travel up to 20% of the time.
- Manage new revenue through campus appointments, video calls, telephone, and email to progress the territory pipeline.
- Qualify new sales leads, and convert them into recurring revenue, while expanding existing accounts.
- Deploy sales tools, leverage CRM data, and maintain an accurate sales pipeline in MSCRM.
- Collect and report market feedback, product information, and potential faculty advocates to internal teams.
- Plan and execute campus outreach, expense reporting, and maintain an annual travel budget.
- Attend bi‑annual sales meetings and other company‑wide meetings.
- Provide excellent customer service to potential and existing customers, and cross‑sell to the installed base.
- Bachelor’s degree required with evidence of high academic achievement.
- Demonstrated record of success in academic and professional background.
- 2 to 4+ years sales experience required, with a creative, persuasive, strategic, and persistent demeanor.
- Hunter mentality, self‑reliant and success oriented.
- Strong technology demonstration skills.
- Dedicated work ethic (over 40 hours/week during peak seasons); willingness to travel as needed.
- Proficient with PC environment, Microsoft Word, Excel, database applications, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Outstanding time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing business needs.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales technology programs.
- Field‑based sales experience in a remote‑based sales position.
- Sales experience in the publishing industry or related SaaS/technology industries.
- Experience with video conferencing tools.
