Regional Vice President – Mutual Funds (External Wholesaler)

Responsibilities- Assess and identify the needs of advisor clients to promote new products.
- Develop new producers while retaining existing producers to grow market share.
- Educate and train advisors on 1290 Funds and models.
- Develop new relationships and manage territory.
- Utilize the internal sales desk to assist in managing territory; work with and train the Internal Wholesaler to work collaboratively with the RVP.
- Use Salesforce (CRM) to log activity, maintain pipeline, and analyze opportunities.
- Identify, create and implement investment sales opportunities to attain stated sales goals.
- Communicate with the National Sales Manager on an ongoing basis.
- Manage a budget and report expenses in a timely manner.
- Maintain sales goals and develop investment fund and MPS model sales opportunities.
- Apply knowledge of territory management practices, tools, and techniques; maximize investment business across multiple geographical areas.
- Travel required 75% of the time.
Base salary: $85,000. Eligible for variable compensation.

- Bachelor’s degree.
- FINRA 6 and 63 or 7.
- CIMA, CFA a plus.
- Knowledge of Mutual Funds and Investment products—previous direct sales experience required.
- Demonstrated communication/interpersonal skills.
- Proven computer, mobile device, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel 75% of the time.
- Must be located within the territory.
- Experience in the local area market.
- CIMA, CFA a plus.
- Client Relationship Management: address issues and maintain engaged partnerships with business partners and clients.
- Effective Presentations: use appropriate presentation tools and techniques to present information to groups.
- Industry Knowledge: apply knowledge of the industry’s trends, directions, regulatory considerations, and dated information to diverse situations.
- Selling: use diverse sales tools, tactics, and techniques to persuade customers to purchase products or services.
- Strategic Sales Planning: develop future-oriented sales plans that support business strategy and reflect understanding of emerging and existing opportunities and markets.
