Role Overview

The Senior Representative, Regional Sales (RSR) plays a critical role in driving new business development and building strong customer relationships within the assigned region. This remote position requires up to 70% travel within the territory and focuses on identifying, engaging, and securing new accounts while supporting and growing existing relationships to achieve sales targets.

Duties & Responsibilities New Business Development
  • Identify, qualify, and engage potential customers within the assigned region to establish new accounts.
  • Coordinate with Sales Leadership to implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets and industries.
  • Conduct prospecting activities, including cold calls, networking events, trade shows, and targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Present Brother Gearmotor solutions to prospective customers, highlighting value propositions and tailoring offerings to meet customer needs.
  • Negotiate and close new business deals to achieve growth objectives.
Account Management and Growth
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to increase sales opportunities and maximize revenue potential.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to understand customer needs and identify upselling or cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide solutions, manage order fulfillment, and resolve service‑related concerns.
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Submit timely and accurate reports, including weekly progress updates and expense reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Sales Strategy and Planning
  • In collaboration with Sales Leadership, develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales plan to meet or exceed quota.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize results.
  • Prepare and present detailed forecasts, pipeline reports, and territory updates to leadership.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
  • Partner with Marketing to support lead generation efforts and execute targeted campaigns.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Engineering, and Operations to ensure seamless customer onboarding and support.
  • Provide feedback to Product Development teams to enhance offerings based on customer needs and market demand.
Experience & Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
