Job Summary

The National Account Manager (NAM) is the primary sales contact for all in‑store and online categories associated with Walmart Departments 10, 11, and 12 as well as other retail‑facing e‑commerce accounts. The NAM serves as the single point of contact for all customer activity, liaises with Dorman corporate to ensure Walmart Inc. & other accounts receive best‑in‑class customer service, calls on other retailers that purchase the Home Hardware product lines, and manages automotive sales to other major online retailers.

This is a sales leadership role that exposes the incumbent to the highest‑level executives at the customer and Dorman’s internal organization.

Primary Duties
  • Drive sales, profitability and awareness of Dorman Products with Walmart, & other retailers, in support of annual business plan achievement.
  • In an effort to increase sales, work cross‑functionally at Dorman to optimize inventory/deployment and manage product life cycles within existing categories and gain new/competitive share in non‑supported categories.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships with Walmart and gain expert knowledge of the customer’s go‑to‑market strategy.
  • Partner with Walmart to create and deliver upon strategic joint business plans, implement omnichannel promotional events through Walmart Connect and conduct regular line reviews.
  • Serve the customer better through competency in data analysis, reporting and forecasting activities and be well versed in fact‑based sales techniques.
  • Work with customers in major customer events, including remote locations, factory visits and potentially attending industry events.
    • Overnight travel will be required to fulfill attendance at such events.
  • Proactively communicate any competitive risks, opportunities and new product ideas back to corporate.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis.
  • Fluent in the necessary Walmart systems, including but not limited to:
    Scintilla, Supplier One, Bamboo Rose, Retail Link, QMS, and others.
  • Self‑starter who thrives in a remote office setting.
  • Fact‑based competitive selling experience.
  • Ability to travel 20%+ of the time.
Physical Requirement

Capability to lift 20 pounds.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.

Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, automotive technology or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of applicable experience with Walmart both in‑store and online.
  • Educated in financial analysis capabilities, P&L responsibilities and monitoring the performance of publicly traded companies.
