Regional Vice President – Mutual Funds (External Wholesaler)

JOB FUNCTION: Business Development and Sales
This role is full time with a base salary of $85,000 and eligible for variable compensation. Eligible employees receive medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off benefits. Travel is required 75% of the time.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage consultative relationships with National, Regional, and Insurance Broker Dealer advisors within the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi territories.
- Assess advisor needs to promote new products.
- Identify, create, and implement investment sales opportunities to attain sales goals.
- Develop new producers while retaining existing ones to grow market share of 1290 Funds.
- Educate and train advisors on 1290 Funds and models.
- Utilize the internal sales desk and collaborate with the Internal Wholesaler to support territory management.
- Manage territory and budget, log activity in Salesforce (CRM), maintain pipeline, and analyze opportunities.
- Communicate with the National Sales Manager on an ongoing basis.
- Travel 75% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- FINRA 6 and 63, or 7.
- CIMA or CFA (a plus).
- Knowledge of Mutual Funds and investment products with prior direct sales experience.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Proficient on computers, mobile devices, and organizational tools.
- Must be located within the territory.
- Experience in the local market.
- CIMA or CFA (a plus).
- Client Relationship Management – ability to address client needs and maintain engaged partnerships.
- Effective Presentations – knowledge of presentation tools and ability to present to groups with appropriate formality.
- Industry Knowledge – understanding of industry trends, regulatory considerations, and ability to apply knowledge.
- Selling – diverse sales tools, tactics, and techniques to persuade clients.
- Strategic Sales Planning – ability to develop future‑oriented sales plans that support business strategy.
