Position: Business Development & Event Sales - Pontoon Saloon

Overview

Pontoon Saloon & Nashville Water Taxi are seeking a dynamic, high-energy event sales leader to join Nashville’s premier passenger vessel operations. If you have a passion for hospitality and experience in growing event sales, we want to talk to you!

As our Business Development & Sales Manager, you will be the face of our brand, managing the customer acquisition journey from the first “hello” to the final booking. You will oversee event sales and coordination for everything from public cruises to private corporate buyouts and our signature Game Day Water Taxi service. Creativity of revenue-generating ideas and execution to drive new revenue streams for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Growth: Proactively identify and nurture strategic relationships with local businesses, hotel concierges, and event planners to increase brand presence and drive bookings.

    Experience:

    Deliver world-class service through detailed communication and personalized booking support for both phone and email inquiries.
  • Event Coordination: Seamlessly manage post-sale logistics to ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience on the water.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the Pontoon Saloon with professional warmth, ensuring all guests feel welcomed and well-informed.
  • Bonus: Digital marketing skills, marketing strategy, social media strategy.
Who You Are
  • A Self-Starter: You don’t wait for leads to come to you; you have the grit and time-management skills to build a pipeline.
  • Experience: You have proven sales or event management experience within the hospitality, tourism, or B2C sectors. Can manage a CRM pipeline with over 1000 leads per year.
  • Communicator: You possess a clear, professional, and persuasive communication style that closes deals.
  • Tech-Savvy: You are proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms), CRM hygiene and embrace technology & automations to drive business.
  • Local Resident: You must be based in Nashville or the surrounding area and have a dedicated home office setup.
Compensation & Perks
  • Base Salary: Starting at $60,000, depending on experience.
  • Incentives: Earn monthly and annual bonuses based on performance KPIs, ranging from $10K–$30K.
  • Benefits: 401k matching, healthcare, HSA, paid time off, and a company-provided computer.
  • Flexibility: A 50/50 remote and onsite work model with a flexible schedule during the winter off-season.
Important Schedule Considerations

We are a seasonal hospitality business. Our "busy season" runs from March to October
, operating 7 days a week in season, primarily a M-F role, but will require some weekends for private charters, marketing events, or major holidays like Memorial Day and the 4th of July. Remote position located in Nashville.
