Cedar Brook Properties is a large buyer of homes for renovation and resale nationwide. Our business model revitalizes existing residential properties to provide affordable, renovated homes for new homeowners. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact within the market for all real estate acquisition activities, converting advertising into cash buys of single‑family homes in any condition.
This highly entrepreneurial position offers a base salary range of $85,000 to $105,000 with performance‑based monthly incentives plus medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off benefits. The role is hybrid, requiring a home office, occasional travel for company meetings, and the ability to drive clients’ homes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients (homeowners) to build rapport and determine their needs.
- Oversee acquisition pipeline performance and lead generation strategy, managing leads, calls, and appointments.
- Own market‑level acquisition strategy, identifying emerging submarkets, pricing trends, and tactics to maximize investment yield.
- Build strategic relationships with high‑value agents, wholesalers, and investor groups to increase deal flow.
- Leverage CRM system and analytics daily to track contacts, interactions, and sales steps; prioritize and complete all daily tasks.
- Document all client interactions accurately in the CRM daily.
- Follow up with current and prior leads at appropriate intervals.
- Produce self‑generated leads through business development, including cultivation of a local real estate investment network and use of the MLS and other for‑sale listing platforms.
- Conduct comparable market‑value analysis of prospective homes, estimating repairs for an as‑is, cash offer.
- Work seamlessly with title, legal, construction, and property management partners.
- Advise leadership on market trends, risks, and investment priorities.
- Coach, mentor, and develop acquisitions personnel to build bench strength.
- Travel to clients’ homes and properties for appointments and on‑site visits.
- Occasionally travel to conferences and company meetings to represent the company at industry events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in real estate acquisitions, investments, sales, or transactions.
- Expertise in financial analysis, risk assessment, market/submarket evaluation, and deal structuring is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (real estate, business, marketing, or sales); MBA or equivalent strategic management experience is a plus.
- Self‑motivated, highly entrepreneurial, professional, and goal‑oriented.
- Excellent client service and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships and present solutions.
- High level of integrity and sound business judgment.
- Highly organized with strong time‑management and multi‑tasking skills.
- Coachable and willing to learn from experienced leaders and peers.
- Proficient in technology portals and mobile applications.
- Strong phone communication skills, able to set and close appointments over the phone during business and evening hours.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- A real estate license is preferred but not required; the ability to obtain licensure within one year of start date is required.
- Licenses must be transferred to our affiliate brokerage, LKV Realty, within 30 days of start date.
