SummaryPlease note that this role will operate remotely, but requires the candidate to reside in the Central or Eastern Region of the United States. Yelp was created to connect people with great local businesses. As an Account Executive, you will be working directly with local businesses to help them meet their goals through Yelp’s various advertising programs.
What You'll Do- Educate, strategize, and discuss Yelp advertising programs through a high volume of outbound dialing to business owners.
- Work a schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; or 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (in your local time).
- Own and manage a pipeline of clients ranging from dentists to florists to restaurant owners, all organized in Salesforce.
- Sell advertising to small local businesses on a set Monday to Friday schedule from home.
- Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions, provide product recommendations, and handle objections and rejection.
- Master quick close techniques to exceed individual goals.
- Navigate the initial call to qualification to close process, ensuring customer satisfaction and upsell opportunities.
- Consistently exceed monthly quotas and track daily goals.
- An appetite for learning and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency multitasking across tabs and video conferencing tools.
- Skill with tools such as Google Suite & Salesforce.
- Curiosity and persistence in asking questions.
- Team orientation and integrity.
- Persuasive communication and resilience.
- Passion for local businesses and inspiring others.
- Adaptability and quick thinking.
- GED/HS Diploma and 2+ years of customer‑facing experience or a Bachelor’s Degree.
- No fear of the phone and prepared to make a high volume of outbound dials daily.
- General computer and email proficiency.

- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Current US work authorization.
- Starting base salary of $37k annually.
- Uncapped commission eligibility.
- Average year 1 on target compensation around $50k (base + commission).
