We are seeking a motivated and experienced Ocular Specialty Representative (OSR) to join our dynamic regional sales team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role supports our innovative portfolio of products in the Pharma team, covering a critical geography in the region. The successful candidate will manage the Ophthalmology and Optometrist markets within the territory, driving sales growth and building strong partnerships with both customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities- Use analytical tools to build a territory business plan based on opportunities for the portfolio and strategic direction from the home office.
- Drive territory performance by increasing prescribing volumes and market share.
- Stay current on managed‑care coverage of products and communicate updates to health‑care providers.
- Refine clinical selling techniques to bring value and influence customer thinking:
- Manage promotional budget and determine expenditures on promotional activities within the business plan.
- Visit ophthalmologists and optometrists according to an established call plan and independent assessment of prescription activity and potential growth.
- Utilize available samples within FDA guidelines to maximize impact with promotional audience.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or related discipline required; professional certification combined with ophthalmic experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales with a proven track record of success.
- Eye‑health industry experience preferred.
- Ability to identify and address customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and effectively drive sales growth within assigned territories.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, planning, and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and strong financial and analytical acumen.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and educate/influence customers.
- Remote field‑based position requiring 25‑50% travel; must reside within or reasonably near the territory workload center.
- Physical ability to perform all job duties, including driving up to 25 pounds and traveling by airplane and car within the U.S.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, or other CRM applications required;
Power BI experience preferred. - Valid driver’s license with a record meeting company standards.
Leveling: Opportunity for this position to be filled at Senior OSR level based on skill set, level of experience, and specific territory needs.
