Regional Inside Sales Manager (Industrial Process Control Equipment, Valves, Regulators & Instrumentation) – Hybrid – Kansas City in Lenexa, KS

This role offers the opportunity to work with customers across chemical, power generation, refining, oil & gas, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and renewables industries.
How You Will Make An Impact- Coaching Inside Sales team members to build strong customer relationships and close deals.
- Mentoring team members and supporting their professional growth.
- Contributing to the overall net growth and profitability of the company.
- Gaining experience across varied industries, including chemical and energy.
- Helping customers pursue meaningful advancements in reliability and profitability.
- Collaborating on success stories, case studies, and trade‑show presentations.
- Encouraging participation in professional trade organizations.
- Shaping the future of Experitec’s “Total Asset Management” business with AI and Machine Learning.
- Technical training with Emerson OEMs (Rosemount, Micromotion, Fisher, Crosby, Anderson, Greenwood) and other brands.
- Sales training programs:
Oratium, Solution Selling, Personalized Sales Consulting, and baseline selling. - On‑the‑Job training with product and industry experts.
- Cross‑functional training to broaden business acumen.
- Coaching Inside Sales team members to build close personal relationships with customers.
- Assisting Account Managers in planning and understanding how the ISE team can support the sales strategy at a given site.
- Strategic planning for the Inside Sales Enablement (ISE) team, including skill improvement and communication of future needs.
- Utilizing CRM to maximize proposal win rate and balance workload.
- Coaching and developing key sales and technical skills of the ISE team.
- Understanding customers’ needs and KPI's to support their business and provide relevant solutions.
- Building relationships with customers to better serve their needs.
- Collaborating across business units and functional areas.
- Weekly collaboration with Sales and Sales Management to develop and execute account and territory growth strategies.
- Developing technical expertise through training programs.
- Learning through new product releases and unique solutions.

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree with two or more years of relevant experience OR four or more years of relevant experience OR four or more years of a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Three or more years of inside sales experience.
- Two or more years of prior people leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with both external customers and co‑workers.
- Strong personal accountability and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Office Monday through Friday for the first 6 months, then hybrid 3:2 schedule with two work from home days per week and three days in office. Flexibility to travel with occasional overnight stays.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass driving record background check.
- Personal vehicle for the majority of work travel; ability to rent a car when requested.
- Ability to travel nationwide by plane for professional development/training, up to 5% of time.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- Five or more years of professional inside sales work experience.
- Five or more years of experience in people management.
- Two or more years of experience in valves and instrumentation.
- Five or more years in manufacturing and/or industrial distribution.
