Job Title

Sales Representative – Agricultural Drainage & Water Management

Develop key relationships within the southern Minnesota trade area and eastern South Dakota, manage all sales opportunities, and create a plan with each key customer to grow our footprint of sales.

Work closely with the VP of Sales and sales team to develop a plan to deliver on annual sales goals, outline key customers, negotiate better opportunities, and make monthly calls on-site.

Generate sales reports and forecasts, execute the sales plan with customers, fellow employees, and vendors, and map out a profitable business with key areas for growth.

Manage relationships with suppliers, understand key products to help grow our Barrett Agri business, and monitor product flow and forecasts to maximize net return.

A college degree is preferred, with a focus on agricultural business. 5 years of experience in sales is preferred, with working history in agricultural drainage tile, chemistry, seed, or related industry preferred.

• Strong agronomic knowledge and ability to sell various agricultural drainage and water management products
• Knowledge in chemistry, nutrition, seed, and services is also preferred
• Self‑starter, hardworking, and entrepreneurial with excellent time management and problem‑solving skills
• Strong critical and analytical thinking abilities and strong business acumen with a working knowledge of market trends and behaviors
