Job Details

The Business Development Manager travels within a defined territory promoting Häfele hardware (cabinet and architectural) to Kitchen and Bath designers, engineers, and architects. The focus is on sales and support to existing customers and specifiers as well as the development of prospective customers and specifiers.

Role Overview
  • You’ll be selling hardware – both cabinet and architectural – to Kitchen and Bath clientele while actively representing the Häfele brand.
  • Passion for the product and the brand are paramount; everything else can be taught.
  • Experience in hardware or millwork is strongly preferred, but transferables are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a detailed sales and support plan for the territory.
  • Maintain consistent contact with customers to achieve high satisfaction.
  • Plan and conduct daily in‑person customer visits, demonstrate products, and assist in hardware decisions.
  • Prepare price quotations and write orders subject to approval.
  • Maintain customer database and provide daily activity reports to Sales Management.
  • Travel to trade shows within and outside the territory, including nights and weekends.
  • Participate in required training and keep informed on competitive products, marketing activities, and market research.
  • Communicate regularly with Customer Service, Sales Management, Marketing Management, and other internal personnel.
  • Maintain a home office exclusively for Häfele America Co.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Education and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university and 1‑2 years of related sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
