Job Description

Join Akamai's Core Tech Sales team! Akamai works with leading companies in every major industry to make the internet fast and secure. We collaborate with customers and prospects to align Akamai solutions to business needs and build relationships and insights that maximize product value across our global platform.

• Build and execute territory plans and develop an ecosystem of partners, consultants, and influencers.
• Articulate Akamai's value proposition to C‑Level executives and corporate decision makers.
• Develop a strategic sales plan to create and manage a high‑volume sales pipeline through successful execution.
• Work within integrated partnerships with sales engineers to ensure consultative engagement with prospects and customers.
• Manage contract negotiations to ensure customer satisfaction and adoption of Akamai technologies.

• 10 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated successful sales experience in managed services and solutions sales.
• Understanding of basic concepts of security and cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Ability and experience utilizing business development and sales tools needed to drive new customer growth.
• High ethics, integrity, and personal willpower.

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US‑based candidates only, the On Target Earnings (OTE) for this position ranges from $222,900 to $463,100 per year; the OTE is determined by relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) along with industry‑leading benefits such as healthcare, a 401(k) savings plan, company holidays, paid time off, sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave, and an employee assistance program focused on mental and financial wellness;
