Position: Sales Specialist - SCBA & Fire, 3M Personal Safety Division (Maryland & Western Pennsylvania)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Develop sales opportunities targeting specific user segments in the safety equipment market
  • Provide training and education to authorized distributors on product offerings and sales techniques
  • Represent the employer at industry meetings, trade associations, and conferences to foster relationships
  • Prepare and execute sales proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence
  • Provide technical support and market intelligence to enhance product offerings and improve customer satisfaction
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Associate’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • One (1) year of commercial experience with technical products
  • Five (5) years of sales and/or marketing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver’s License
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of experience in safety or industrial sales
  • Familiarity with the US Fire Service Industry as a manufacturer representative (direct or agent)
  • Strong interpersonal selling, negotiation, public speaking, and project leadership skills
  • Experience with CRM and proficiency in Microsoft & iOS applications
