We’re looking for an ambitious sales professional to join Toast's rapidly expanding Customer Growth (Upsell) Sales team. As a Flex Growth Account Executive, you’ll manage a book of existing SMB Toast POS customers with a goal of driving revenue through expansion and product adoption. This is a full‑cycle role that requires a high degree of agility, adaptability, and the ability to navigate constant change and ambiguity.

You’ll be primarily remote, working from home, but may spend occasional time in the field in your assigned territory.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full sales cycle for customer expansion, from outbound prospecting to contract negotiation and close.
  • Utilize consultative selling and discovery to uncover customer pain points and business goals, positioning Toast’s expanded product offerings.
  • Achieve quota attainment, consistently meeting and exceeding monthly sales revenue and unit booking targets.
  • Execute pipeline management, maintaining a highly organized sales pipeline and activity records within Salesforce CRM and other essential tools.
  • Demonstrate market and product expertise, developing a strong understanding of the competitive landscape to position Toast solutions effectively.
  • Engage in cross‑functional collaboration with New Business, Services and Implementation teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Apply strategic sales methodologies (e.g., Sandler) to uncover urgency, drive value and create compelling propositions.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of quota‑carrying sales experience in a closing role (e.g., Business Development Representative, Account Executive) with a consistent track record of meeting and exceeding monthly sales performance goals.
  • Proven success in a high‑velocity or high‑volume, transactional B2B SaaS sales environment.
  • Full‑cycle sales skills, including deep discovery, storytelling, negotiation and closing techniques.
  • Consultative approach with the ability to act as a strategic consultant and challenge prospects’ perspectives.
  • Growth and ownership mindset, self‑motivated, competitive, resilient and high ownership of results.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with strong time‑management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving sales environment.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM.
  • Experience with Sandler Sales Training or similar structured sales methodologies.
  • Prior B2B sales experience within the SMB, restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors.
Benefits

The total targeted cash compensation for this role ranges from $118,000 to $189,000 USD, including base salary, commission, benefits and equity (if eligible). This role qualifies for uncapped commissions.
