We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Director of Sales to lead revenue growth across our portfolio of mid-scale hotel properties. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in hospitality sales, thrives in a multi-property environment, and knows how to build lasting relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and group accounts.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue across 3-4 hotel properties
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities including corporate accounts, group bookings, government contracts, and local partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, and online travel agency (OTA) partners
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and property performance to adjust sales strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with property general managers to align sales efforts with operational goals
- Manage relationships with OTA platforms to optimize visibility, rankings, and revenue
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to ownership
- Represent the properties at trade shows, networking events, and community functions
- Negotiate contracts and rate agreements with clients and partners
- Mentor and support on-property staff in sales-related activities
- 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in mid-scale or select-service properties
- Demonstrated experience managing sales efforts across multiple properties (3-4)
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles and OTA dynamics
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficient with Google Workspace, CRM systems, and hotel property management systems
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties as needed
- Experience with brands such as Wyndham, Choice, or Best Western
- Established relationships with local corporate accounts or government agencies
- Familiarity with the Northern Virginia/DC metro hospitality market
