At Shop Solar, we’re building a better way to buy and support solar — one that puts education, transparency, and long-term customer trust first.
We operate at the intersection of renewable energy, ecommerce, and real-world problem solving
, helping tens of thousands of customers power their homes, cabins, businesses, and off-grid lives. Our work matters, and the impact is real.
This is a remote position.
Shop Solar is looking for a driven B2B Account Associate to help grow our installer, contractor, and commercial solar business.
This role is built for someone who has worked in the solar industry before — ideally on the B2B, installer, or commercial side — and already has strong relationships they can activate. If you’re a self-starter who wants to be rewarded for results (not stuck under rigid corporate pay bands), this role offers real upside.
The OpportunityShop Solar has built one of the strongest digital and operational platforms in the U.S. solar market. We serve thousands of customers nationwide and increasingly support:
- Installers & EPCs
- Electrical contractors
- Developers and energy professionals
Own and grow a portfolio of strategic B2B accounts
Leverage existing industry relationships to open new opportunities
Act as the primary point of contact for high-value commercial and partner accounts
Work directly with installers, contractors, and developers on equipment sourcing, system design support, and pricing
Help structure repeat purchasing programs, preferred partner setups, and long‑term account relationships
Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and technical teams to deliver a seamless experience
Provide feedback to leadership on market needs, pricing, product gaps, and competitive dynamics
RequirementsHave 5–10+ years in the solar industry, specifically on the B2B / commercial / installer side
Have worked at a large solar company, distributor, or manufacturer
Maintain an active network of installers, EPCs, contractors, or commercial buyers
Are trusted by your clients and used to managing complex, high‑value accounts
Are frustrated by slow internal processes, rigid pricing, or poor customer experience at larger organizations
Want more ownership, flexibility, and influence over outcomes
