Role SummaryA global leader in high-reliability connectivity solutions, recognized for engineering excellence and serving strategic sectors including aerospace, defence, uncrewed systems, and advanced space technology, is seeking a results-oriented Technical Sales and Business Development Manager
. This high-impact role is crucial to the organization's strategic expansion in the EMEA region and will focus on driving substantial business growth across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the broader Gulf region.
The ideal candidate will be based remotely anywhere within the UAE.
The OpportunityThis is a high-growth, business development-focused position. The Manager will be responsible for developing the company's regional business within both strategic and new accounts. This involves building robust relationships, identifying critical design-in opportunities, and driving significant revenue growth through direct engagement with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and leveraging channel distribution partners.
This role is perfectly suited for a strategic thinker who thrives on commercial challenge, possesses confidence in influencing high-level decision-makers, and is highly motivated to open new market doors and build long-term value for both customers and the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Strategy Execution: Execute the strategic sales plan designed to drive regional growth across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf region.
- Opportunity Generation: Collaborate closely with distribution partners and OEMs to identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities within target technical markets, establishing the organization as a trusted technology provider.
- Relationship Management: Strengthen relationships with existing distributors and OEM accounts to increase market share and expand design-in activities.
- Project Leadership: Lead technical design-in and design-win projects from the initial concept phase through to final production orders.
- Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Maintain the business development pipeline and CRM system, ensuring clear, accurate forecasting and detailed opportunity tracking.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and communicate essential market intelligence, including competitive analysis, emerging technology trends, and customer requirements, to inform product development and regional strategy.
- Regional Representation: Represent the company at customer meetings, key industry events, and trade shows throughout the territory.
- Travel: Travel extensively within the designated territory is required to maintain close, in‑person relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Location: Must be based remotely in the UAE, with the required flexibility and willingness for travel across the Gulf region.
- Education: A technical or commercial degree (ideally in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent practical experience is highly desirable.
- Experience: A strong background in technical sales or business development, preferably within the electronics component sector or a related highly technical industry.
- Competencies: Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and establish trusted relationships with decision‑makers at all levels of customer organizations.
- Strategic Acumen: Must be comfortable working strategically, interpreting the organization’s global direction, and adapting it effectively for the local region.
- Personal Drive: Must be self‑motivated, entrepreneurial, and results‑oriented, with outstanding communication and professional presentation skills.
- Cultural Adaptability: Proven ability to navigate diverse business cultures across the Gulf region effectively.
- Language: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in additional regional languages is a significant advantage.
- Value and number of strategically important projects added to the opportunity pipeline.
- Accuracy of pipeline data and conversion rate against agreed targets.
- Growth of new and strategic account Point‑of‑Sale (POS) billings.
- Increase in design‑in opportunities value by an agreed percentage within the first year.
