Retail Key Account Manager

c £50,000 / per annum D.O.E. and discretionary bonus

You will be an essential part of the business as you manage relationships with the UK’s major retailers and develop partnerships with prospects. In return for your hard work, they are offering a fantastic salary of up to c £50,000 per annum and bonus (typically 10 to 15% of annual salary), alongside a generous holiday allowance (25 days plus bank holidays), flexible working opportunities (60% office based 40% home based) and likely career progression as the company continues to grow.

• Grow revenue and unit sales within existing key retail accounts
• Develop new client portfolio through multiple channels including outbound calling, emailing and networking
• Utilise Linked In Navigator to perform market research and identify new business opportunities
• Meet with clients and prospects on an ad hoc basis with occasional travel required
• Perform commercial calculations to ensure revenue and profitability is maximised
• Support pricing, imaging and relationship building with smaller accounts where required
• Attend a small number of UK Trade Shows to promote brand and build relationships within the retail world

• Demonstrable track record of managing and developing sales value and profitability
• Previous key account management experience of major UK retailers
• Previous key account management experience within homeware, hardware or similar sector is preferred
• Previous sales experience of branded and private label goods is desirable
• Confident user of MS Office apps including Excel
• Strong working knowledge of Linked In, particularly Linked In Navigator
• Experience with online marketplaces is desirable
