On the Outside Account Development team, we expand on existing Door Dash partnerships while identifying opportunities for further engagement, growth, and performance on our platform. We learn more about the merchant’s business and growth goals to build a path to success and increased ROI, while accommodating the variable needs of our partners.

The Role

We’re looking for outside sales executives to join us in an associate Strategic Account Development Executive role focused on franchisees. You will connect existing franchised merchant partners with new powerful tools on the Door Dash delivery platform, ensure that partnership terms are mutually beneficial, and sustain success to drive increased sales. You will report to the Manager of Strategic Account Development in our Outside Sales organization.

The role requires flexibility with some time in‑office (1–2 days/week), some time in the field (up to once per month), and some time working from home. Trade shows and conferences may also be requested.

Responsibilities
  • Run your end‑to‑end sales process, using discovery and complex pipeline management skills.
  • Excite existing accounts on the potential to increase revenue share.
  • Engage with strategic decision makers, including C‑suite, VPs, and business owners, while using data to tell a compelling story.
  • Close partners on upgrades, upsells, and cross‑sell of Door Dash platform products and marketing promotions.
  • Use internal data and unit economics to explain forecasted revenue growth and custom sales packages that improve sales, growth, and brand perception.
  • Build an internal guide for the team’s sales process.
  • Collaborate with regional Strategic Partner Managers (5+ at a time) to close and renegotiate sales terms.
  • Provide feedback and strategy recommendations to leadership as we expand the franchised cohort.
  • Travel across your region (up to once per month).
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sales experience, with at least 1 year selling to an existing client base (upsell, cross‑sell, promotions, or expansions) or related experience.
  • Experience in an outside sales environment, leading end‑to‑end sales cycles.
  • Project‑management skills, aligning partners while managing timelines and expectations.
  • Proficiency in Excel (maintaining complex spreadsheets) and related data skills for creating sales presentations.
  • Owner client‑facing conversations and complex negotiations.
Compensation

Base salary range: $76,680 – $112,800 USD (localized by work location). Total on‑target earnings (base + commissions) approximately $127,800 – $188,000 USD.
