AboutThe Role
We’re looking for outside sales executives to join us in an associate Strategic Account Development Executive role focused on franchisees. You will connect existing franchised merchant partners with new powerful tools on the Door Dash delivery platform, ensuring partnership terms make sense for both Door Dash and the merchant, and sustaining success and increased sales. You will report to the Manager of Strategic Account Development in our Outside Sales organization.
The role is flexible: 1‑2 days in‑office per week, up to once per month in the field, and some time working from home. You may be asked to attend trade shows and conferences.
- Run your end‑to‑end sales process with discovery and complex pipeline management skills
- Excite our existing accounts on the potential to increase revenue share
- Engage with strategic decision makers, including C‑suite, VPs, and business owners, while using data to tell a compelling story
- Close partners on upgrades, upsells, and cross‑sells of Door Dash platform products and marketing promotions
- Use internal data and unit economics to explain forecasted revenue growth and offer customized sales packages to improve sales, growth, and brand perception
- Build an internal guide for the team’s sales process
- Collaborate with regional Strategic Partner Managers (5+ at a time, depending on regional needs) to close and re‑negotiate sales terms
- Provide feedback and strategy recommendations to leadership as we continue to look for ways to expand the franchised cohort
- Travel across your region (up to once per month)
- You have 3+ years of sales experience with at least 1+ year selling to an existing client base (upsell, cross‑sell, promotions, or expansions) or related experience
- You have worked in an outside sales environment, leading an end‑to‑end sales cycle
- You can align company partners while managing project timelines and expectations or have related project‑management experience
- You have knowledge of Excel (maintain complex spreadsheets) and related data skills to create sales presentations
- You own client‑facing conversations and complex negotiations
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
National base pay range: $76,680—$112,800 USD. Total on‑target earnings (base + commissions): $127,800—$188,000 USD.
