About The Role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be part of either our outbound or inbound team. Outbound SDRs generate and qualify leads to support sales revenue targets. Inbound SDRs respond quickly to marketing leads and steward them through the sales process. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.

This role will require working during general business hours, typically 9‑5 pm EST or 7‑3 pm PST.

Compensation is transparent: base pay of CAN $61,000 with potential commission up to CAN $15,000 for a total OTE of CAN $76,000. Candidates must have work authorization in Canada; visas will not be sponsored.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Prospecting (Outbound):
    Build custom nonprofit prospect lists from an assigned territory and initiate contact through 60+ phone calls per day.
  • High‑Velocity Response (Inbound):
    Act as the first point of contact for marketing‑generated leads and respond with a strict “Speed‑to‑Lead” response time to maximize conversion.
  • Lead Generation &

    Qualification:

    Initiate contact with non‑profit prospects to educate them on the Free Will mission, generate high‑intent interest, and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Qualification & Handoff:
    Qualify leads and schedule discovery meetings for the sales team, ensuring a smooth handover of information.
  • CRM Excellence:
    Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all interactions and prospect information in the CRM system.
  • Objection Handling:
    Articulate products and solutions with prospective partners to manage and overcome objections.
  • Collaborative Strategy:
    Work closely with account executives to align on target accounts and optimize the sales process.
  • Quota Attainment:
    Meet or exceed assigned targets for lead generation.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and consistently exceed goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage, persuade, and build rapport.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Some experience with, or strong willingness to learn, sales databases and tools such as Outreach, Salesforce, and Clay.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to engage closely with the sales team and potential partners.
  • Previous experience in sales, lead generation, or customer‑facing roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
