Territory Development Manager - Unilever Food Solutions

PayRange: $69,360 to $104,040.

Purpose of the RoleAs a Territory Development Manager, you will drive sustainable business growth through engagement with operators, chains and trade partners. Your responsibilities include using data and CRM tools to plan and execute sales calls, establish partnerships, grow market share, and deliver a high‑quality customer experience.
Demand CreationEngage local chain accounts and operator customers, delivering targets for turnover, reach, penetration, digital engagement and in‑market activation for fully profiled operators.
Key Activities- Convert business insights into activation solutions.
- Use market trends to create concept selling solutions.
- Lead customers to the right solutions.
- Network with key stakeholders to engage decision makers.
- Prepare visits with solution recommendations and manage workflow in Salesforce.
- Conduct F2F and virtual sampling, ideation and cooking demos.
- Follow up on previous calls to close sales.
- Secure and coordinate customer orders each month.
- Meet with distributors/trade partners to expand assortment and source leads.
- Build and nurture relationships with local distributor sales reps.
- Implement a contact matrix for key trade customers with a squad approach.
- Engage trade customers for secondary sales data.
- Implement promotions related to key seasons and events.
- Ensure timely submission and settlement of claims.
- Hunter mentality with a focus on 70% hunting vs. 30% farming.
- Fast adopter of contemporary technology, AI usage, and proficiency in MS Office, Power BI and Excel.
- Entrepreneurial mindset creating mutually beneficial solutions.
- Persistent curiosity to stay ahead of food trends.
- Ability to sell premium brands with superior stories and culinary solutions.
- Bilingual a plus (Spanish, Mandarin).
- CPG food service B2B sales experience.
- Culinary or chef selling experience.
- Network of existing food service operator partners.
- Distributor, ingredient or broker sales experience.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM.
- Operator experience.
- Market or geographical knowledge.
- Food university background (e.g., CIA, Food & Hospitality).
- Experience in multi‑national corporate settings.
