Outside Technical Sales Representative – Ottawa Valley / Quebec

Our Client is seeking an Outside Technical Sales Representative to support its residential and commercial divisions across the Ottawa Valley and Quebec markets. This home-based role covers a territory between Ottawa and Montreal, with routine in-person meetings held monthly in Ottawa, Gatineau, or Montreal. The position focuses on advancing IKO’s roofing and building envelope solutions within the design, contractor, and distributor communities.

This role is relationship- and field-focused by design, involving regular engagement with design professionals to support product specification, collaboration with contractors and distributors to secure project adoption, and ongoing development of new business opportunities. Responsibilities also include conducting site visits, supporting quality control initiatives, delivering product training sessions such as lunch-and-learns, and representing the company at industry and association events.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of experience in technical sales or a related field, is fully bilingual in English and French, and brings strong communication and presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Previous experience in roofing or building envelope systems is considered an asset, as is post-secondary education in Construction, Roofing, or Construction Technology. A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to travel within the territory and complete occasional overnight stays.

Compensation includes a base salary of CAD $70,000–$85,000 annually, complemented by an annual bonus structure, a company vehicle, health benefits, and RRSP participation.
