We are seeking a results-driven Hybrid Sales Representative specializing in industrial cutting tools and related solutions. This role blends inside sales execution with field-based customer engagement and technical support. The successful candidate will manage and grow an assigned customer portfolio by developing strong relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering value-added solutions. This role requires both commercial acumen and technical understanding of cutting tools, machining processes, and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts while actively prospecting new customers within the assigned territory
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate cutting tool solutions to improve productivity, tool life, and cost efficiency
- Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross‑selling, and new business acquisition
- Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and pricing in alignment with company guidelines
- Meet or exceed sales targets, margin objectives, and activity KPIs
- Conduct regular customer visits to support relationship‑building, product demonstrations, and technical discussions
- Provide inside sales support via phone, email, and virtual meetings when not in the field
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering insights on tooling optimization and process improvements
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Maintain strong working knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g., inserts, end mills, drills, taps, holders, abrasives)
- Support customers with basic application guidance and troubleshooting; elevate complex technical issues as required
- Collaborate with suppliers and technical specialists for advanced applications and demonstrations
- Stay current on product innovations, industry trends, and competitive offerings
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts
- Provide regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and market feedback to management
- Support pricing, contract renewals, and account reviews
- 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial distribution, cutting tools, machining, or manufacturing environments
- Solid understanding of machining processes and industrial tooling applications
- Proven ability to manage both inside and outside sales responsibilities effectively
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, ERP tools, and Microsoft Oice
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory
- Technical education or hands‑on machining experience
- Experience selling to machine shops, manufacturers, or industrial contractors
- Familiarity with major cutting tool brands and suppliers
- Customer‑focused and solution‑oriented
- Self‑motivated with strong time‑management skills
- Analytical and comfortable discussing ROI and cost savings
- Professional communication style with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Hybrid role combining office‑based work, remote work, and customer site visits
- Regular travel within the assigned territory
- Interaction with manufacturing and industrial environments, including machine shops and production facilities
