The Cellular Workflow Automation Specialist is responsible for sales activities related to the Cellular Workflow Automation product platform, which includes Colony Pickers, Clone Imaging, Single Cell Dispensing, Bioprinting, Automated Cell Culture, Custom Workcell Automation Solutions, Organoid Expansion Services, Reagents, and Service. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong customer relationships to grow Molecular Devices' market share, revenue, and profitability annually in target segments such as life sciences, biotech, pharma, academic research labs, contract labs, government installations, and some clinical labs.
This position reports to the Manager, North America Cellular Workflow Automation and is part of the Sales organization working remotely to cover the West US territory.
- Achieve North America revenue goals and targets for the Cellular Workflow Automation product platform in the assigned territory
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database in
- Generate accurate monthly forecasting for the assigned territory
- Perform lead generation activities including but not limited to eblaunches, seminars, work days with business partners
- Attend and participate in regional and local product shows as a brand ambassador for Molecular Devices
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of capital equipment sales experience selling into the life science industry.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% under certain circumstances.
- Knowledge of cell line development, cell culture and automation technology is ideal.
- Track record of successful capital equipment sales/customer facing experience.
- Ability to travel – 50% travel, overnight, within territory or locations
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of Cellular imaging technology
- Experience with Microsoft applications, , CRM Database
This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement. You can work remotely from your home. Additional information about this remote work arrangement will be provided by your interview team. Explore the flexibility and challenge that working for Molecular Devices can provide.
The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $126,500. This role is also eligible for Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC). The total target compensation at plan (base + SIC) is $205,000 – $230,000 annually. Actual SIC earnings may exceed or fall below the target based on individual sales performance.
