Position: Surge Protection Sales Manager - (ERICO) North America

Surge Protection Sales Manager – North America

nVent is seeking a dynamic and strategic Surge Protection Sales Manager for North America to lead demand creation and product expertise for our sales organization within the Electrical Connections business. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and delivering exceptional customer value across the United States and Canada for the ERICO Surge Brands.

What You Will Experience
  • Develop and drive sales strategy and execution while leading Regional Sales Managers and the Inside Sales team.
  • Conduct market research and planning to identify sales growth opportunities.
  • Understand and position competitive markets to better align sales and marketing opportunities.
  • Lead high‑level relationships with Key Accounts.
  • Drive revenue achievement, customer growth, and conversion across job sites, end users, panel shops, contractors, specifiers, installers, and cross‑sell nVent solutions.
  • Partner with local representatives (Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and Manufacturing Reps).
  • Engage with the Vertical Growth team and Product Management to understand key growth markets and product fit.
  • Negotiate and lead high‑level contracts for Key Accounts.
  • Manage national, regional, and local programs such as rebate initiatives for end users and contractors.
  • Act as a voice of the customer, collaborating with field and support functions to guide product, process, and strategy direction.
  • Lead Surge Strategy across multiple sales organizations.
  • Mentor and educate RSMs, agents, and channel sales teams on value‑based selling of ERICO Surge Products.
  • Drive opportunities through engineering workshops and on‑site surveys.
  • Support local agent and distribution market training, cost and pricing initiatives, and inventory management.
You Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or applicable experience in technical electrical sales.
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office anywhere in the US and travel an average of 50% of the time throughout the US and Canadian markets, including overnight trips.
  • Prior experience in surge protection or switch gear sales.
  • At least 5 years of technical electrical sales experience, selling to contractors, panel shops, and OEMs.
  • Experience leading both outside and inside sales teams.
  • Strong value‑based selling skills and interpersonal skills for negotiation and customer guidance.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales analytics tools.
  • Physical capability to navigate construction project sites, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel internationally.

nVent’s pay scale is based on an employee’s base salary and sales incentive target. Pay is determined by knowledge, skills, experience, and performance, and meets all applicable wage requirements. Total target cash ranges by region are:
