SASE Sales Director – Service Providers & Cloud – Hewlett Packard Enterprise

This role is remotely based (teleworker) and will primarily be performed from home.

Job Description

HPE Networking is creating a new, high‑impact sales leadership position to build and run a focused security‑selling organization across the Cloud and Service Provider (SP) segments. Reporting to senior networking leadership, you will own strategy, team build‑out, channel motion, and revenue for security products, including SASE, SRX, SD‑Branch, NAC variants, Clear Pass, SSR, etc. This is a hybrid sales model: your team will run end‑to‑end for part of the portfolio and work closely with core sellers on the remainder to drive cross‑sell and scale.

This position will require approximately 50% travel.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Hire and lead a team of 6–8 sales specialists (majority North America, some Europe) by year‑end; hire leader first to define structure and go‑to‑market.
  • Own P&L and revenue targets for Cloud and SP security bookings through channel partners.
  • Build and execute go‑to‑market strategies for security solutions across cloud providers, service providers, and high‑tech accounts.
  • Establish and deepen channel partner relationships and enablement across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with core sellers, product, and marketing to align sales plays and accelerate pipeline.
  • Coach and develop ICs who will specialize in either Cloud or SP verticals.
Experience and Skills
  • Proven senior sales leader (manager of managers preferred) with experience building and scaling field sales teams from scratch.
  • Deep channel expertise – experience selling through partners is essential.
  • Demonstrated success selling to service providers, cloud providers, or large enterprise/high‑tech accounts.
  • Strong background in security product sales and software/enterprise license agreements.
  • Strategic thinker with hands‑on selling experience and ability to operate in a hybrid direct/collaborative model.
  • Existing relationships in the security ecosystem (partners and customers) are a plus.
  • Experience with SASE, NAC, SRX, SD‑Branch, or related networking/security portfolios would be helpful but not required.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges in the United States: USD 269,000–537,000 in Massachusetts; 236,500–573,000 in District of Columbia & Georgia & Illinois & Maryland & New Jersey & North Carolina & Texas & Virginia. Compensation reflects base and target‑level sales pay, typically split 50%/50%.
