Sales Business Development Manager - Splunk (Remote)
Location:
Remote, Eastern United States
As a Sales Business Development Manager (SBDM) for the State & Local Government/Higher‑Education (SLED) territory, you will structure and draft sales transactions with a focus on transactional health and compliance with government purchasing regulations. You will draft order documents and support sales in customer‑facing negotiations.
Responsibilities- Facilitate strategic deals within the Deal Strategy and Execution (DSE) organization.
- Be an expert on Splunk buying programs and metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine the most appropriate deal structure, analyzing ARR/iACV impact and solution fit.
- Assist and drive customer conversations, coordinate next steps, gaps, and escalations.
- Manage the Order Document process from end to end, negotiate directly with customers, and draft key business language.
- Provide sales training and enablement on deal structure, programs, pricing, and serve as a trusted advisor to sales leadership.
- 5+ years of strategic deal management experience supporting sales in a fast‑growing enterprise software company.
- Strong background in public‑sector business, understanding of government procurement processes, GWACs, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills; articulate and influential at all organizational levels.
- Self‑motivated and thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. Experience in sales operations analysis or financial planning and analysis is a plus.
