Sales Business Development Manager - Splunk (Remote)

Location:

Remote, Eastern United States

As a Sales Business Development Manager (SBDM) for the State & Local Government/Higher‑Education (SLED) territory, you will structure and draft sales transactions with a focus on transactional health and compliance with government purchasing regulations. You will draft order documents and support sales in customer‑facing negotiations.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate strategic deals within the Deal Strategy and Execution (DSE) organization.
  • Be an expert on Splunk buying programs and metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to determine the most appropriate deal structure, analyzing ARR/iACV impact and solution fit.
  • Assist and drive customer conversations, coordinate next steps, gaps, and escalations.
  • Manage the Order Document process from end to end, negotiate directly with customers, and draft key business language.
  • Provide sales training and enablement on deal structure, programs, pricing, and serve as a trusted advisor to sales leadership.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of strategic deal management experience supporting sales in a fast‑growing enterprise software company.
  • Strong background in public‑sector business, understanding of government procurement processes, GWACs, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills; articulate and influential at all organizational levels.
  • Self‑motivated and thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. Experience in sales operations analysis or financial planning and analysis is a plus.
