Business Development Manager – Electrical Sector – Scotland
Salary: GBP 40K – 50K (negotiable) plus OTE including basic, bonus, car, pension, health, critical illness, and life assurance benefits.
Job SummaryFantastic opportunity to join a market‑leading, progressive Electrical company. Sales experience in the industrial electrical marketplace with technical ability and product knowledge is required; an electrical qualification is an advantage.
Remote work from a home base is supported, allowing you to plan your diary and customer visits within your territory. You will identify opportunities to promote and sell a full range of electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions across a wide range of industries. The company offers extensive supplier product types and brands, a rich customer database, marketing support, ongoing product and technical training, and full technical support.
Location& Travel
Candidate must be located in Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk, Perth or Aberdeen with good road access. Candidates located anywhere in the UK’s defined territory may also be considered.
Responsibilities & Attributes- Identify opportunities for business growth and engage with decision makers to develop relationships.
- Plan and manage own diary and customer visits.
- Deliver on business targets in collaboration with the local Regional Sales Manager.
- Maintain a detailed customer database and support marketing activities.
- Provide product and technical training to customers as required.
- Demonstrate sales career history, time management, communication skills and a "can‑do" attitude.
- Show commercial and technical ability with industrial electrical/control and automation knowledge where possible.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Be customer‑focused and hold a full UK driving licence.
- Have eligibility to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
