What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Drive sales with new customers and grow existing revenues in public records and investigative content within state government markets
  • Manage complex, long-cycle enterprise deals, navigating the state procurement processes and RFX processes
  • Build and maintain relationships with technical and non-technical government officials and systems integrators
  • Achieve consistent quota attainment and effectively manage a healthy sales pipeline
  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical officials, demonstrating a strong understanding of state IT infrastructure
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of direct field sales experience, preferably in government markets
  • Proven track record of sales quota over achievement
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work from a home office and travel to customer locations 70% of the time, with up to 40% overnight travel
  • Reside within the designated sales territory
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with state procurement processes and government contracting requirements
  • Familiarity with state priorities, funding mechanisms, and relevant regulations such as CJIS, HIPAA, and FedRAMP
  • Previous involvement in strategic networking within government associations and conferences
  • Strong understanding of technical capabilities related to CLEAR's offerings
