Sylvite’s Transportation and Logistics division is expanding, and we are looking for a high-performing Sales Representative to help drive growth across North America. This role is for someone who thrives on building relationships, winning new business, and owning their accounts from first conversation through long-term partnership.

Our services encompass full-service Ag retail, specialized fertilizers, industrial material sourcing and handling, as well as a robust transportation, warehousing, and logistics division. About the RoleThis is a true business development role with autonomy, responsibility, and room to grow. You will be trusted to develop new accounts, strengthen existing relationships, and work closely with operations to deliver reliable service and long-term value to customers. This is a commission based role with the opportunity for part time and remote work.
What You’ll Do- Identifying and pursuing new freight opportunities through active prospecting
- Building a pipeline of qualified customers and converting them into long-term accounts
- Negotiating rates, contracts, and service agreements with shippers
- Managing customer relationships from onboarding through daily execution
- Working closely with Terminal and Operations Managers to price lanes and support service delivery
- Monitoring shipments and resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Expanding existing accounts through upselling and additional service opportunities
- Conducting regular customer check‑ins, site visits, and follow‑ups
- Supporting collections and resolving account concerns when required
- Providing sales activity reporting, forecasts, and market feedback
- Contributing to territory planning, sales initiatives, and continuous improvement
- Representing Sylvite at industry events and customer meetings
- 5 to 8 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related industry
- Sales experience with a track record of building and growing accounts
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- A self‑motivated, results‑driven approach to work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Working knowledge of transportation management systems and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and sound judgment
